A local business magazine has named Essential Network Technologies to its list of the Best IT Firms of 2017.
ENT was among 27 local information technology providers honored in the December 2017 issue of Small Business Monthly St. Louis, which has been serving business owners and managers in our metropolitan area for the past three decades. “We’re gratified to be included among the best IT firms in the region,” said Joe Walsh, CEO of ENT. “We’re also glad to see the magazine shine a light on local technology providers who deliver on-location, in-person service people can’t get from IT experts on the other side of the globe.”
How ENT sets the pace for Metro St. Louis IT providers
A few of our recent blog posts illustrate the kind of work we do for local businesses and school districts.
We helped a local charter school system get its networks and computers back online after a potentially crippling ransomware attack. The break-in was especially insidious because the hackers disabled backup servers as well as main IT systems. We also showed the school system how to harden their networks against future attacks.
Managed IT services
IT operations get more complicated every day. With managed services from ENT, our customers hand their technology needs over to us so they can stick to what they do best — taking care of their customers.
Negwer, a regional building-materials supplier, put us to work installing switching gear from Extreme Networks to transform their ability to communicate and collaborate with their staff and their clients.
“It might be a Midwest thing, but I really like doing business with someone local,” said Scott Driemeier-Showers, the company’s Information Technology Manager. “We like being able to shake hands with our customers and partners. In fact, that’s how we’ve stayed in business for nearly 100 years.”
Linking local businesses to world-class technologies
Small Business Monthly’s list demonstrates the abundance of technical acumen available in our service area: Metro St. Louis, eastern Missouri, and Southern Illinois.
“There are plenty of engineers outside of Silicon Valley who understand the intricacies of servers, networks, apps, security and the cloud,” said Brian Etzkorn, ENT’s director of engineering. “Our partnerships with some of the biggest Valley tech providers allow us to deliver some of the world’s most innovative technologies to people who need them right here in our backyard.”
